How can you protect your heart by controlling cholesterol in your blood? The question might look a bit complicated because it involves your heart and the control of your cholesterol but the truth is that, it is really very simple and the ways of protecting your heart is in your own hands. The bad cholesterol gums up your arterial walls forming a plaque that narrows the arteries making it quite difficult for the blood to pass through. So it is very important for you to know your cholesterol levels because that's when you can start taking the actions and control it before it causes trouble therefore protecting your heart from cardiovascular diseases.

Well it's very easy and simple- you don't have to run marathons or walk a long distance and stop eating all those tasty foods which you are crazy about, but a little control over these things can make your heart more active and help you live a healthy and longer life. You need to take foods that are low in cholesterol or fats which includes dairy products, red meat, eggs, butter and all other processed foods or supermarket foods and especially fast foods. I know it might look weird because everybody is crazy about fast foods but it's your life and it's your heart and you have to keep it safe. It's not like you have to skip all these foods, but just don't go for them on regular basis as they contain a lot of fats which surely increases the bad cholesterol in your blood. And when there is too much of it, you know what happens.

You could go for a walk everyday or do some physical activities as well because it's proved that exercise burns your extra fats and keeps your heart active and healthy thus protecting it from lots of diseases. By doing regular exercise you can very well control the cholesterol levels in your blood. Experts say that, if you take healthy diets and skip all unhealthy eating habits, then it's the best way you can manage your cholesterol thus protecting your heart from diseases.
